NASENI Advances Innovation Ecosystem with Construction of Technology Campus

The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Dr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem through the ongoing construction of the NASENI Campus.

Dr. Halilu made the commitment during an inspection of the project site, where he assessed the progress of construction alongside members of the project team.

He recalled that the vision for establishing the NASENI Innovation Ecosystem was unveiled a year ago, noting that the campus represents another major milestone in the agency’s drive to promote innovation, technology development and industrialisation.

According to him, the facility is designed to provide innovators emerging from programmes such as InnovateNaija with the enabling environment to transform innovative ideas into market-ready products and scalable businesses.

He explained that the project forms part of NASENI’s broader strategy to nurture local talent, support technology-driven enterprises and accelerate the commercialisation of indigenous innovations.

Dr. Halilu said the campus would serve as a hub for research, product development, entrepreneurship and collaboration, helping to bridge the gap between innovation and industry.

He reaffirmed NASENI’s commitment to driving Nigeria’s industrial growth through homegrown technology, innovation and strategic investments that will create jobs, enhance productivity and strengthen the country’s manufacturing sector.
