President Tinubu Arrives Rwanda for Africa CEO Forum

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kigali ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum 2026 scheduled to begin on Thursday.

The Nigerian leader was received at the Presidential Wing of the Kigali International Airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.

Other officials present to receive the President included the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; the Nigerian Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna; and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare.

Founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation, the Africa CEO Forum is regarded as one of the continent’s largest annual gatherings of private sector leaders, investors, and policymakers.

The forum focuses on accelerating Africa’s economic transformation through regional integration, cross-border investment, and private sector collaboration.

The theme of this year’s edition is: “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

During the forum, President Tinubu is expected to speak on the topic, “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will highlight the impact and progress of Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms.

The President is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with African and global business leaders as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s role in shaping the continent’s economic future.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu will use the summit to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, regional economic cooperation, and strategic partnerships aimed at promoting private sector-driven sustainable development across the continent.
