APC Registration: Our strength is our capacity says Gov. Inuwa

Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while calling on party loyalists to ensure openness during the exercise.

Gov. Yahaya during the ceremony which held at the state secretariat of the party on Tuesday said the membership strength of the party should be prioritised.

He called on party followers to revalidate their membership of the party, adding “our strength is our capacity.

He further called on them to “ accept everybody; our doors and windows are open to whoever is ready to join the APC,” he said.


He said he had observed that the registration materials brought to Gombe state may not be enough, assuring that request for additional materials had been made to the Headquarters of their party.

“ So that we will meet the number expected of us in Gombe state,” he said.
The governor guaranteed that the conduct of the exercise would be peaceful, adding that what was witnessed in other states would not happen in Gombe because “ we are one big family that respects one another.”

“ So I believe with the readiness of the people to go by the rules, there won’t be a problem conducting the exercise in the state.”

Dr Danjuma Dabo the Chairman of the APC registration, revalidation committee for Gombe state, Dr. Danjuma Dabo stated that the exercise was free of charge.


Dabo while explaining that the exercise which was expected to hold at the governor’s polling unit was shifted because “ we anticipate that a lot of people would like to support him in this endeavour.
“ So we didn’t want to take it to the polling unit in a school and it’s not outside the guidelines given to us,” he stated.


He assured that no one would be discriminated against, adding “ anyone who presents himself or herself will be registered.

On his part, the Gombe State Chairman of the APC, Mr. Nite Amangal called for unity amongst members to ensure the success of the exercise.
Amangal cautioned that any group or individual who tries to disrupt the exercise would be made to face the wrath of the law.
