“It is high time we collaborate with the military– BRAVE IT

The Coordinator of Building Resilience Against Violent Extremism, Terrorism and Insurgency (BRAVE IT), Dr Abubakar Mohammed Sani has called on Nigerians to be resilient and collaborate with the military.

This was contained in a Press Statement signed by the Director Media of the Organisation Amb. Auwal Ahmad Umar  made available to Newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday.

 “Countering Violent Extremism and banditry should not be left to the military alone but all hands must be on deck to salvage the nation. This is not the time to give up on Nigeria and the security agencies. This is the time to be resilient and be undaunted by the challenges confronting the nation,” Sani said.

“It is true that there are challenges but with prayers and active collaboration with the military by way of giving them actionable intelligence, Nigeria will overcome the myriads of security challenges confronting her.”

The Coordinator also urged Nigerians to support the recently appointed Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Faruk Yahya in the discharge of his duties.

In his words, “Let me also use this medium to call upon officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army and Nigerians in general to give the Chief of Army Staff and the Army all the support they need to defeat Insurgency and banditry in the country. BRAVE IT believes that Lt. General Yahya has all it takes to lead the Army to victory.”
